Pie, Peas and Plant Potting Party: Our Spring Volunteer Social
With borrowing booming at the library of Things, and monthly Repair Cafés always a blast, we know none of this would be nearly so noteworthy without the dogged determination of our dedicated disciples volunteers. We go giddy for a good get-together, so in gratitude for everyone’s graft, our spring social was centred around sun, seeds and s..? s..? savouriness!
There were seeds galore to swap and share, surplus pots aplenty (sparing others from having to source some themselves), and proper pies and plentiful peas to power us on. And of course, cheerful chatter amongst casual company.

We hold volunteer thank-you events like this several times a year, so you’re more than welcome to join us and come along to the next one:
We thought the seed and plant swap made such a lovely idea, it was carried through to our March and April Repair Cafés for the whole of town to take part in. Remaining seeds and plant pots were then donated to ‘Good Neighbours’ in Embsay and a community garden at Woodville in Keighley.
With the weather looking bright, why not get out into the garden, yard or allotment with these DIY projects:
Make seed bombs (fun and easy for kids)
Add a green roof to a shed or bin store (great even with limited space)
