Explore our collection of items and become a member to borrow them. Find more information about borrowing at the bottom of the page.
You can borrow directly via this page or on myTurn, which our inventory website is hosted on. If you’re using your mobile, you may find myTurn easier to use. View collection on myTurn.
Items for sale
From time to time we review our inventory for items that have had low interest and make these available for sale, so we can make room in our library for new items.
Please view the PDF below to see the latest items for sale plus their prices. For items listed as “Donation”, we simply ask you to donate the amount you’d like. We try to keep this as up-to-date as possible.
If there’s anything you’d like to buy, please enquire by either speaking to our volunteers at the library or emailing hello@shareskipton.org.
Useful information
-
To borrow from our Library of Things, you must first become a member.
Please visit our Membership page to learn more.
-
Our borrowing rules are simple:
Return items clean, on the day they are due back, to the place you picked them up from, during opening hours, and tell us about any problems.
When using tools and equipment, always act within your competency - this means you must be capable of using them, and follow any instructions and safety guidelines provided.
-
If it is your first time borrowing, please bring the following with you when you come to collect your things:
EITHER:
Photographic identification (e.g. driving licence, passport, blue badge, older person’s bus pass, disabled person’s bus pass, PASS card, voter authority certificate) AND one item of official proof of address (e.g. utility bill, council tax bill, credit card statement, lease agreement, insurance policy, or mobile phone bill), which must be dated within the last 3 months.
OR:
If you have no photo ID, two items of official proof of address, which must be dated within the last 3 months. -
Please note that a daily late fee is charged on each overdue item. This is twice the item’s daily rate rounded to the nearest 5p, based on its weekly loan fee. For example, if an item has a weekly fee of £1.60 then its daily late fee will be 45p (£1.60÷7=0.23, ×2= 0.46, rounded⇅⁵=0.45).
