Borrow

From pressure washers to thermal imaging cameras to sewing machines, you’ll be able to borrow these items and many others from our collection once our Library of Things is up and running.

Donate

Our Library of Things is mostly stocked with items kindly donated by members of the public and local businesses. Find out what items we’re looking for at the moment or how you could donate things you have.

Volunteer

Share Skipton is run by a team of active volunteers, including librarians and more. Check out our volunteer roles and find out how you could get involved.

What is Share Skipton?

Share Skipton is a community-led charity with a vision to create a more sharing, sustainable Skipton.

Our aim is to encourage and enable our communities to share resources, reduce waste, repair and reuse more, and to promote a circular economy.

Our first priority is to create a Library of Things, where locals can borrow items for a fraction of the cost of buying, making it affordable, convenient and kinder to the planet. We are also planning to set up and run Repair Cafés where people can bring broken items to mend rather than replace them. By helping people to share and repair, we can reduce our use of finite resources, CO2 emissions and waste.

Our supporters

We would to thank all those who have provided us with grants, donations and in-kind support, including the following organisations:
